Job purpose

Duties and responsibilities

Financial Responsibilities include:

Job Overview

Key Accountabilities

  1. Operational

  1. Establish a Risk Intelligence analyst network across the USS business footprint.
  2. Using the appropriate technology, develop a Risk Intelligence platform upon which a practice is built and further expanded.
  3. Develop, market and deliver Risk Intelligence products and services to a fee-paying client base.

  • The generation of new business through building a client base from existing personal and proprietary networks, as well as leveraging the USS client base

 

Development and Implementation of Sales Strategy

  • Leverage and share the Group’s knowledge and best practice, credentials
  • Input into the overall USS Group strategy development and implementation as appropriate, and participate in the facilitation of the necessary changes to sales and business development structures and processes to align them with the strategy
  • Shares best practices focusing on Knowledge Management across centres of excellence and specialisation

 

Development and Manage Sales Structure

  • Work with Service Line Leaders and other senior management staff to ensure that USS has the capability in terms of business development resources and the necessary components to bid for and deliver highly tailored solutions in relevant businesses
  • Coordination of resources to maximize cross selling and realizing existing as well as new opportunities
  • Partnership, network management and control
  • Shows, roadshow, event, conference & direct client approach schedules
  • Development and maintenance of sales tools; proactive use and where necessary, evangelization of Group CRM platform(s)
  • Account management process

 

Key Performance Indicators
Performance will be based on agreed targets set as part of an appraisal and objective setting process.  This will include:

  • Regional and/or country revenue targets
  • New client acquisition
  • Existing client care and relationship management
  • Cross-selling into service lines and/or countries

 

Qualifications & Specialist Skills
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with:

  • Experience: Formal tertiary qualification at the level of a specialised sales professional or master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
    • Experience of solution selling, or relationship development within a consulting framework, with a demonstrable track record of delivering performance
    • Client-centric approach, Business to Business experience, coupled with a sound track record
    • Relevant working experience within a multinational setting would be advantageous
    • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), coupled with negotiation skills
    • Flexibility and adaptability to rapid environmental changes; able to drive changes
  • Problem Solving and Analysis: Has an excellent understanding of business issues that can be proactively addressed.
  • Delivering Results: Is business driven.  Has ability to deliver to origination targets.
  • Integrity: Maintains social, ethical, professional and organisational standards and values, always honours commitments.
